Today we drove up the west coast of Newfoundland to Quirpon.  There we took a wet and windy boat ride to Quirpon Island where we stayed for two nights.  Along the way we stopped off along the coast to look at arches and fossils. The thrombolite fossils are among the oldest on the planet and are only found on the west coast of Newfoundland and in Australia.
