Today we drove to St. John's across the island from west to east.  It was a rainy day.  However, we first took the time to do a morning walk with a ranger to learn about how the theory of plate tectonics was proven using the geological evidence in Gros Morne Park.  We walked on and held rock from the Earth's mantle.
